What we do
Very simply, we rent furniture for exhibitions!
We deliver to all of the major the exhibition venues in the UK and deliver to every show at the following venues:
- ExCeL London
- Olympia London
- NEC Birmingham
If you’re exhibiting at a different venue then worry not - chances are we are supplying for your show. We publish a list of all the shows we are supporting on our shows page.
Who we work with
As well as working with individual exhibitors, we also work with stand builders, agencies, and exhibition organisers.
Where are we based
Head Office - South East London
Our head office is just by the Dartford Bridge in South East London, where we have a 70,000 sq ft building with a modern warehouse complete with dock level loading and six loading bays. This is the where the magic happens: here you’ll find our print room, spray room, and our upholstery workshop. This warehouse primarily services exhibition venues in London and Birmingham.
Our offices and showroom are also based in this building, so if you’re a stand builder, agency, or organiser then please just contact us to arrange a showroom visit and warehouse tour!
Northern Depot - Greater Manchester
Our depot in Dukinfield in Greater Manchester was opened in 2012 and has an experienced team of furniture installers, many of whom have worked at the depot when it opened over a decade ago. This depot services exhibition venues in Manchester & Liverpool.
Scotland Depot - South Lanarkshire
Our depot in East Kilbride in South Lanarkshire was opened more recently in 2021, and services exhibition venues across Scotland. Whilst this is currently our smallest depot, we’re planning to expand our operations in Scotland significantly in 2025, so watch this space!
A little about our history
Our history goes back two decades.
Exhibit Hire is the exhibition arm of Furniture Hire UK, which was established back in 2004 by our founder Dan Smith. Furniture Hire UK supplies furniture for events, and Exhibit Hire supplies furniture for exhibitions.
Furniture Hire UK started with a team of four and our first premises was a 5,000 sq ft warehouse in South East London. We soon outgrew that building, and then the next, and then the next! In 2024 we moved to our new head office which will be our home for the foreseeable future.
In 2012 we opened our depot in Greater Manchester and then in 2021 we opened our depot in East Lanarkshire. Our three depots allow us to cover exhibition venues across the country.
Exhibit Hire actually began its journey separately to Furniture Hire UK. It was founded in 2007 in South Wales, and then expanded to London shortly after. We acquired the business in 2019 when the previous owners decided to retire. For several years we ran Exhibit Hire from a separate building in Southall (West London), however in 2022 we took the decision to consolidate both businesses into one main hub. This proved to be a great decision - it’s given Exhibit Hire access to an expanded fleet of vehicles and warehouse resources and has therefore allowed us to expand our capacity massively.
And a little about our future…
We have big plans. Our aim is to make hiring furniture for exhibitions as easy as possible for our customers, and we’re working hard to make this a reality. In 2025 we will be releasing major updates to our website which put our customers in the driving seat.
